To all Reds wherever you are coming from to visit our city!:

What a privilege it is for us to welcome you all to Madrid. First of all, and most importantly, because it means that we are in the Champions’ League Final but also to be able to see Madrid decked out in Red and to share the fantastic “Liverpool Way” atmosphere that is created on such occasions.

As you are probably aware, the Liverpool Fanzone will be in the Avenida de Felipe II area of the City. We understand that the fanzone will closed at 6pm. There is currently no official word as to whether there will be big screens available to watch the game. In fact, we have received contradictory information from different sources. We hope that this will be cleared up over the next few days and we will publish any information we receive on our website. www.madridreds.com

Spain is pretty much a football mad country so there will be plenty of places to watch the game for people that do not have tickets to go to the ground. In fact, any bar with a television will be showing it but be aware that most traditional Spanish bars are small. We have produced a list of some of the bigger bars / pubs where we believe that here should be a decent atmosphere.

Unfortunately, the pub where the Madrid Reds normally watch the game is small and will be closed during the day of the game. It will then open to screen the game but only to official Madrid Reds members. Unfortunately, we can simply not cater for the amounts of fans that would want to watch the game there.

Keep your eyes on our website as we hope to provide some good news to compensate for this!

So, what follows is a list of decent pubs where we believe that the atmosphere will be very good. Obviously, these pubs will not be exclusively Liverpool pubs. Most of them are Irish style pubs or ones that have a reputation for showing football.

Hola Reds del mundo;

Antes de nada, expresaros la fokin´alegría que supone vuestra visita además de, por la razón evidente de llegar a la final de la Champions, por poder compartir con vosotros la experiencia de inundar Madrid de rojo, canciones y de nuestro “Liverpool way”.

Como ya seguramente sabéis, la Fan zone estará situada en la Avenida de Felipe II, pero, según nuestras informaciones hasta este momento, esta fan zone se cerrará a las 18 horas y no hay ninguna respuesta fiable y oficial sobre si habrá una pantalla gigante para poder disfrutar del partido. Es más, todo son contradicciones al respecto que, esperemos, queden aclaradas en las próximas fechas, cosa que haremos saber a través de nuestra web: www.madridreds.com

En relación a los pubs donde se podrá ver el partido, España es un país muy futbolero y en cualquier local podrá verse, pero os señalaremos unos cuantos que, a nuestro entender, pueden tener un buen ambiente.

Desafortunadamente, el pub donde nosotros vemos los partidos es pequeño y, durante el sábado 1 de junio, permanecerá cerrado hasta horas previas al partido y solo para los miembros oficiales de la peña. Era imposible abordar el potencial desembarco de Reds, lo sentimos.

¡Intentaremos daros alguna buena noticia para compensar esto, estad atentos a la web!

En relación a locales donde el ambiente puede ser magnífico, queremos advertiros obviamente que esos locales no serán exclusivamente para seguidores del Liverpool, sino que estarán abiertos a todo aficionado, incluso para los Spurs.
